Ciao a tutti! Eccomi di nuovo con una Tag, che novità eh? Lol!

Questa volta però è per la Sfida mensile del gruppo Mixed Medi@ Italia... questo mese abbiamo pensato di immergerci nei colori, visto il periodo non propriamente positivo, quindi...bando alle ciance...ecco a voi la Moodboard per le #12MMITags2020 di Marzo...

Hello everyone! I'm back with a new Tag, you don't say! Lol!

This time though it's for the monthly challenge in our Facebook Group Mixed Medi@ Italia...for this month we decided to delve into a rainbow of colours, especially needed during these times of turmoil and fear, so...without further ado...here's the new Moodboard for   #12MMITags2020 - March...

Ora, io penso ai colori e mi viene in mente Frida Kahlo, ho quindi deciso di unire entrambi in questa Tag...iniziamo:

Now...usually when I think about colours I also think about Frida Kahlo, so I have decided to merge both into this Tag...let's begin:

Ho usato un cartoncino di media grammatura e l'ho ricoperto con Idea-Ology Collage Paper - Halloween di Tim Holtz, usando il Soft Matte Gel di Finnabair, poi ho dato una mano di Gesso Clear e delle pennellate molto lievi di Heavy Gesso Bianco, sempre di Finnabair.

I have used medium weight cardstock, covered with Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Collage Paper - Halloween, using Finnabair Soft Matte Gel, then I covered everything with Clear Gesso and few strokes of Heavy White Gesso.

Ho aggiunto dei dettagli con uno stencil e la Pasta Stencil Light di TommyArt, fatto asciugare e poi ho spruzzato con gli inchiostry spray Flat Fabio della Lindy's Stamp Gang: Plumeria Pink, Magical Mai Tai, Rizzo's Rowdy Red, Ocean Breeze Blue, Aloha Avocado. La prima volta ho spruzzato il colore, aggiunto acqua e fatto colare, togliendo l'eccesso, poi ho asciugato bene prima di passare al colore successivo. Una volta completato il primo passaggio, ho ripetuto il tutto, senza usare l'acqua, per avere un'effetto più intenso.

Ho fatto asciugare bene e poi ho passato il Wink of Stella Bianco della Zig sulle scritte in rilievo.

Added details using TommyArt Stencil Paste light and a Stencil, let it dry then used Flat Fabios by Lindy's Stamp Gang: Plumeria Pink, Magical Mai Tai, Rizzo's Rowdy Red, Ocean Breeze Blue, Aloha Avocado

For the first step I sprayed a colour, then added water to make it 'run', taking the eccess off with a paper towel, dry it very well and moved to the next colour. Then I repeated the process, this time without adding water, to achieve more intense results.

Let it dry very well then used White Wink of Stella Brush by Zig on the raised words.

Ho timbrato la tag utilizzando un timbro della Prima che assomiglia ad una pennellata, e come inchiostri ho usato i Distress Oxides: Peeled Paint, Spices Marmalade, Aged Mahogany, poi ho ripassato tutti i bordi con il Distess ink Black Soot.

Ho quindi disegnato la mia Frida su cartoncino spesso e l'ho colorata usando brush pens acquarellabili, Zig e Tombow, pastelli Prismacolor e Polychromos.

Poi ho usato uno stencil della 13@rts 'Doily' e la pasta stencil per creare l'effetto 'pizzo'.

I fiori, timbro Moda Scrap ed il cuore, timbro 'Blooming Heart' di AALL&Create,  li ho colorati con i Prismacolor.. mi sono divertita tantissimo.

Per finire ho timbrato un sentiment, timbro Visible Image, su vellum e l'ho embossato con la polvere Clear della Ranger.

I stamped the tag using Distress Oxide Inks: Peeled Paint, Spices Marmalade, Aged Mahogany and a 'brush stroke' stamp by Prima, then darkened the edges with Distress ink Black Soot.

Then I drew my Frida on white cardstock and added colour using watercolour brush pens,  Zig and Tombow, Prismacolor and Polychromos pencils.

I have used a stencil by 13@rts 'Doily' and Stencil paste to create the 'lace' effect.

I have coloured the flowers, a stamp by Moda Scrap, and the heart, AALL&Create stamp 'Blooming Heart' designed by Olga Heldwein, using Prismacolor pencils...and I had so much fun.

As finishing detail I have stamped the sentiment, a Visible Image stamp, on vellum and then embossed with Clear Embossing Powder by Ranger.

#12MMITags Dicembre 2019 - Winter Wishes

Ciao a tutti! Ma ci credete che siamo già ad un passo da Natale? Io veramente non so dove finisca il tempo...sono sempre in ritardo con tutto! He he he...
Comunque eccoci qui, con l'ultima Tag delle #12MMITags del Gruppo Facebook Mixed Medi@ Italia (che a dire il vero sono 11, perchè in estate abbiamo unito 2 mesi...eh va beh dai...licenza poetica!) E' stato un bellissimo viaggio con il nostro gruppo, culminato con una fantastica sorpresa che alcune delle amiche hanno fatto a noi Admin...un calendario dell'avvento tutto 'Made in Mixed Media'...scoprire ogni giorno una 'casellina' nuova, con relativo lavoro fatto con il cuore mi ha riempito di gioia e soddisfazione...e mi ha fatto versare pure qualche lacrima di commozione. Grazie ancora ragazze...siete magnifiche...
Ed ora...basta con le chiacchere e sotto con il tutorial...

Hello everyone! Can you believe it? Christmas day it's almost here...how is it possible that time flies away so much...I'm always late with everything!
Anyway...here's the last Tag of the year for the Facebook Group Mixed Medi@ Italia - #12MMITags - December 2019 (ok...technically they are 11, as for July and August we asked for a single tag... well let's say it's a 'poetic licence')-
So...without further ado...let's start with the tutorial:

Ho iniziato a decorare la Tag con il Distress Oxide Candied Apple e lo stencil di Tim Holtz Holiday Knit, scurendo alcune parti con il D.O. Aged Mahogany. Poi ho steso la pasta Stencil Light di TommyArt usando lo stencil Holiday Script, sempre di Tim Holtz.

I started my background using Distress Oxide Candied Apple and Tim Holtz Layering stencil Holiday Knit, darkening in few spots with D.O. Aged Mahogany. Then added texture with TommyArt Light stencil paste and T.H. Holiday Script stencil.

Quando la pasta era ben asciutta, ho iniziato a spruzzare con gli inchiostri spray di Lindy's Stamp Gang: prima con Flat Fabio Rizzo's Rowdy Red, poi con lo Starburst Poinsettia Red Gold.
Ho asciugato bene, poi ho schizzato la Tag con Uniposca Bianco ed Oro.

When dry I sprayed with Lindy's Stamp Gand inks: Flat Fabio Rizzo's Rowdy Red and Starburst Poinsettia Red Gold, dried again then spattered with White and Gold Posca pens.

E qui mi sono scordata di fare le foto...allooora....ho aggiunto del washi tape, dei fermacampioni a forma di fiocco di neve, un pezzetto di carta dal set Winter Tales della 13@rts, degli Ephemera a tema Natale e li ho fermati con la graffatrice. A parte ho fustellato ed embossato il Fiocco di neve con la fustella Tim Holtz Layered Snowflake (che viene venduta con il relativo embossing folder) usando un cartoncino di recupero: ho ricoperto con Heavy Black Gesso di Finnabair, poi ho usato le cere Metallique Old Silver e Vintage Gold per dare luce. Ho incollato il fiocco di neve, la Paper Doll e la Quote Chip natalizia. Ho aggiunto uno sticker ed un charm della linea Idea-ology di Tim Holtz.
E la Tag è finita!

Obviously I forgot to take pictures of the next steps....soooo....I added design tape, few snowflakes brads, built my layers using scraps from design paper Winter Tales by 13@rts, and Idea-ology Christmas Ephemera and stapled them onto the Tag. I die cut and embossed a scrap of cardboard using Tim Holtz Layered Snowflake Bigz die, covered with Heavy Black Gesso by Finnabair, and added highlights with Art Alchemy Metallique waxes Old Silver and Vintage Gold.
Glued the snowflake, the Paper Doll, a Christmas Quote Chip, then added finishing touches with a Metallic sticker and an Idea-ology Adornment charm.
And that's all!

Dopo il successo del Calendario dell'Avvento targato  Mixed Medi@ Italia , le mie socie ed io abbiamo deciso di iniziare il 2019 all'insegna della creatività ed, ovviamente del Mixed media...ecco quindi che nascono le #12MMItags...ogni mese proporremo una Moodboard o un vincolo secondo cui creare una Tag...

Hello everyone and welcome back! After the success of the Advent Calendar in our Facebook Group Mixed Medi@ Italia, we Admins decided to start the new year with a bit of a creativity kick and obviously, mixed media...hence #12MMItags...every month we will showcase a Moodboard or an element, according to which our friends will have to create a Tag...

Questa è la bellissima Moodboard di Gennaio creata dalla nostra Sabrina...

Ovviamente noi Admin abbiamo creato la nostra versione, per fornire un po' di ispirazione alle nostre amiche creative...ed è così che è nata questa Tag...ed anche il mini video che l'accompagna!

Needless to say that also my friends and I, have to create our version, for further inspiration...and this is  my take...with a mini video!

You will find all the details in the video...here below you can see few close-ups...

Ho colorato i mini alberelli con i DISTRESS OXIDE INKS ICED SPRUCE e HICKORY SMOKE, per la neve ho usato la PASTA STENCIL LIGHT di TOMMYArt.
Due parole sulla CHRISTMAS QUOTE CHIP  - TH IDEA-OLOGY che ho usato:
prima ho tracciato la scritta che originariamente era in rosso, con un pennarello indelebile blu, poi ho fatto cadere delle gocce di STARBURST SPRAY HYDRANGEA BLUE della LINDY'S GANG.
Ho fatto asciugare bene, poi ho fatto cadere alcune gocce di ALCOHOL INK color STREAM e di BLENDING SOLUTION di TIM HOLTZ/RANGER.
Dopo aver incollato tutto, anche dei CHRISTMAS CLIPPINGS STICKERS - TH IDEA-OLOGY, ho spruzzato la tag con acrilico bianco.
Ho poi aggiunto un nastro in tinta ed un charm metallico a forma di fiocco di neve - CHRISTMAS ADORNMENT TH93764 - IDEA-OLOGY

I have painted those tiny wooden trees with DISTRESS OXIDE INKS ICED SPRUCE and HICKORY SMOKE, for the snow I have used   LIGHT STENCIL PASTE by TOMMYArt.
Few words about the CHRISTMAS QUOTE CHIP  - TH IDEA-OLOGY that I have used:
first I have traced the words with a blue permanent marker (originally they are red), then splattered with STARBURST SPRAY HYDRANGEA BLUE by LINDY'S GANG.
Let that dry well, then added few drops of ALCOHOL INK STREAM and  BLENDING SOLUTION by TIM HOLTZ/RANGER.
After glueing everything in place, including some CHRISTMAS CLIPPINGS STICKERS - TH IDEA-OLOGY, I have spattered the tag with white acrylic paint.

As final touches I added some ribbon and a CHRISTMAS ADORNMENT TH93764 - TH IDEA-OLOGY.

I have used a cardboard package both for the back of my Tag and to die cut the Tree Ring, plus some kitchen string (yes...I am a very poor cook...got this from my Mother-in-Law...instead of using it to tie a juicy piece of meat, I decided to take full advantage of its potential in another way!Lol) and a leftover piece of sprayed cardboard from a previous project.

- MIXED MEDIA & ART: JANUARY CHALLENGE - COOLNESS

I have been inspired by both the top left picture and by the 'frosty/wintery' feeling of this lovely moodboard.

Ho intitolato questa serie di ATC 'JUST SPARKLE – Little Women' in onore della Festa della Donna appena trascorsa...per ricordarci di non far MAI affievolire quella meravigliosa scintilla che ci rende uniche...

I have named this serie 'JUST SPARKLE – Little Women' ...to honour Women's Day, that was just few days ago...to always remember NEVER to let diminish that wonderful sparkle which makes us unique...

Ho usato una striscia di carta per acquerello che avevo avanzato da un'altro progetto, di circa

4x11 pollici – tenete sempre presente che le misure delle ATC sono 2,5x3,5 pollici -

spruzzando in sezioni con i seguenti spray Starburst della Lindy's Stamp Gang:

• Time Travel Teal
• Hydrangea Blue
• Screamin' Banshee Black

asciugando tra un colore e l'altro, e spruzzando una seconda volta solo in alcune zone, per creare piu' giochi di luce (dal momento che questi colori , una volta asciutti hanno degli effetti 'brillantinosi' fantastici)

I have used a strip of watercolour paper, a leftover from another project, of about 4x11 inches – always keep in mind that ATCs dimensions are 2,5x3,5 inches – and sprayed the following Starburst sprays by Lindy's Stamp Gang, trying to divide them in sections:

• Time Travel Teal
• Hydrangea Blue
• Screamin' Banshee Black

always drying before adding the next colour, and spraying twice only in few spots, to create even more shimmering effects.

Dopo di che ho tagliato le ATC a misura, poi ho aggiunto del Gloss gel con uno stencil  – lavate immediatamente stencil e spatola!

Ho lasciato asciugare all'aria.

After that I have cut to the proper size the ATCs, then added Gloss gel through a stencil – please remember to wash immediately both stencil and palette knife!

Let that air dry.

Ora dobbiamo solo aggiungere gli abbellimenti...con un'alfabeto a piacere ho creato la parola 'SPARKLE', l'ho timbrata con un tampone per embossing e poi ricoperta con polvere per embossing bianca. Ho fustellato delle stelline usando della gomma crepla glitterata, e creato dei puntini con un punch, poi ho scelto 4 Piccole Donne dalle Paper Dolls di Tim Holtz, aggiunto del filo bianco e 3 strass su ogni ATC.

Now it's time to embellish our ATCs...I have created the word 'SPARKLE' using an alphabet stamp set, stamped with Versamark ink then embossed using white embossing powder. I have die-cut 4 little stars from a glittered foam sheet and punched out few dots as well. Then chose 4 Little Women from Tim Holtz's Paper Dolls, added white thread and 3 iridescent stones on each ATC.

Enjoy the Journey!

Ciao a tutti...eccomi con un progetto un po' diverso dal mio solito...un Layout...

Dovete sapere che in queste ore si sono aperte le iscrizioni al Nazionale ASI 2018 che avrà come tema 'Enjoy the Journey!'...un'esperienza totalmente nuova per me...comunque nell'attesa hanno organizzato una sfida: preparare un Layout 30x30 che contenesse 1 foto di un viaggio, una valigia ed una cartina geografica...e questo è il risultato...

Ho scelto la foto della spiaggia di Elafonissi, Creta...un'acqua meravigliosamente limpida  e dai colori caraibici, come potete vedere...la sua particolarità è di essere collegata a Creta da una lingua sottile di terra,  che a seconda delle maree scompare sott'acqua, e di avere la sabbia a tratti rosa...Un paesaggio selvaggio e davvero meraviglioso che ci ha colpito molto.

Per questo layout ho voluto utilizzare le tonalità del turchese, che amo, e qualche tocco di blu, ovviamente usando i fidati sprays della Lindy's. Avendo come tema il viaggio ho aggiunto dei tocchi con la Modeling Paste e lo stencil 'Traveler' di Tim Holtz, poi ho usato la fustella 'Vintage Globe' sempre di Tim Holtz, ma al posto del mappamondo ho messo una 'punchata' di una cartina di Creta. Ho ritagliato la valigia da una card per planner, ho usato dei timbri 'Carabelle' e 'Visible Image' , delle bolle ritagliate con una fustella Sizzix e la scritta 'Travel' è una fustella della Kesi'Art.
Contrariamente al mio solito, mi sono astenuta dall'usare il Distress Ink Black Soot per 'sporcare'' i bordi del foglio...in realtà mi piace l'idea di non avere dei bordi ben delineati...

It's a Stiched up Christmas...

Ciao a tutti! Finalmente eccomi tornata alla Sfida settimanale del Lunedì di SIMON SAYS STAMP...ho saltato le ultime settimane e mi sono sentita in colpa...Lol! Sono doppiamente felice di questa card, perchè FINALMENTE ho preso il coraggio a due mani ed ho tirato fuori la mia macchina da cucire e..Voilà...sono riuscita a fare una cucitura su carta e tela, senza problemi! Bello sforzo direte voi...che ci vuole? Ebbene...io faccio veramente pena quando si tratta di cuciture, e non c'è volta che non rompa il filo tipo 10 volte di seguito, così finisco per cucire a mano che faccio prima. Oggi invece, San Cucirini mi ha graziato ed ho realizzato la mia prima card cucita...storta, ma fatta senza danni...eh...sono le piccole gioie! ;-)

Hello everyone! Finally I'm back with a Monday Challenge over at SIMON SAYS STAMP Blog...I missed the last few weeks...and started to feel guilty...Lol! I'm so proud of this card because, FINALLY, I have been brave enough to take my sewing machine out and actually stich on paper and burlap, without any problem at all! Well..duh...some of you might think but the truth is...I really suck at sewing with the machine, like I have to change thread at least 10 times in a row because it breaks on me, so I usually tuck the sewing machine away again, slightly cursing under my breath, and do the stiching by hand. But Today everything went smoothly so here it is...my stiched card...definitely wonky, but nonetheless stiched...what can I say...it's all about the little things! ;-)

Dopo aver cucito i supporti, ho steso in maniera molto leggera del gesso bianco qua e là, ho asciugato e poi ho steso il gesso trasparente su tutta la superficie. Ho aggiunto dei dettagli con la modeling paste e lo Stencil 'Holiday Script' di Tim Holtz. Ho asciugato di nuovo molto bene ed ho iniziato a spruzzare con i miei fidati Lindy's: 'California Poppy Gold' Starburst e 'Pirate's Plunder Gold' Moon Shadow mist, ho asciugato e poi ho fatto cadere delle gocce di sprays Flat Fabio 'Rizzo's Rowdy Red' e 'Greased Lightnin' Green' . Ho accentuato le scritte con il Distress Crayon Vintage Photo, poi ho rovinato i bordi del foglio con le forbici e li ho ripassati prima con Distress Ink Ground Espresso e poi l'immancabile Black Soot.

Per completare la card ho aggiunto delle fustellate di foglie (Thinlits Mini Holiday Greens - Sizzix/Tim Holtz Alterations), una candela ritagliata con la fustella 'Candlelight' BIGZ Sizzix/Tim Holtz Alterations e colorata con Distress Oxide Antique Linen, Distress Inks Vintage Photo, Ground Espresso e Black Soot e Distress Stain Tarnished Brass. Per ultima ho aggiunto la scritta 'PEACE' ritagliata da cartoncino rosso, con le Thinlits 'Vintage Tidings' Sizzix/Tim Holtz Alterations e poi spruzzata con Starburst 'Poinsettia Red Gold' della Lindy's. Ho mattato il tutto su cartoncino nero, e la mia prima card natalizia di quest'anno è pronta!

After stiching together paper and burlap, I have added few gentle touches of white gesso here and there, dried then painted everything with clear gesso. Added few details and words with modeling paste and Tim Holtz stencil 'Holiday Script'. Dried once again then started adding color with Lindy's sprays: 'California Poppy Gold' Starburst and 'Pirate's Plunder Gold' Moon Shadow mist, dried then added few drops of Flat Fabio sprays 'Rizzo's Rowdy Red' and 'Greased Lightnin' Green' . 

Enhanced the words with Distress Crayon Vintage Photo, then distressed the borders of the paper with scissors and added Distress Ink Ground Espresso and, of course,  Black Soot.

To finish the card added few die-cut leaves from Mini Holiday Greens Thinlits - Sizzix/Tim Holtz Alterations, a candle cut with 'Candlelight' BIGZ Die - Sizzix/Tim Holtz Alterations and painted with Distress Oxide Antique Linen, Distress Inks Vintage Photo, Ground Espresso and Black Soot and Distress Stain Tarnished Brass. Last the word 'PEACE' cut from red cardstock using 'Vintage Tidings' Thinlits -  Sizzix/Tim Holtz Alterations, then sprayed with Lindy's Starburst 'Poinsettia Red Gold' .

Pasted everything on black cardstock and my first Christmas card of this year is ready!

Ciao a tutti e bentrovati! Eccomi arrivata allo Stage n.4 del Progetto Creative Art sul blog di Mixed Media & Art...'Brilliant Decoration'...

Hello and welcome back! Here I am at Stage 4 of the Joint Project 'Creative Art' on Mixed Media & Art Blog...'Brilliant Decoration'...

Per quest'ultimo progetto è stato richiesto l'uso di un pezzo di Bigiotteria, sempre non relativo a materiale Scrap, e l'altro elemento fondamentale è 'Shine', in ogni sua forma e quantità...io sono partita da questo braccialetto...

For this last project it was mandatory to use a piece of Bijouterie, not from scrap material, and the other element was 'Shine', in any form and quantity...I started from this bracelet...

Chiedo scusa per la pessima qualità della foto...avrò questo braccialetto da almeno 20 anni, uno dei tanti finiti nel mio bauletto delle 'chincaglierie'...ho cercato quindi di dargli una nuova vita, inglobandolo in questo mio progetto...

I apologize for the poor quality of this pic...I have this bracelet for almost 20 years, one of many tossed in my 'trinckets bin'...so I tried to give it a new purpose, using it in this new project...

Ho aggiunto vari elementi per creare una texture, usando il Soft Matte Gel per incollarli...ho incluso anche dei numeri, 1,2,3 e 4, per simboleggiare i 4 Stadi di questo Progetto Creativo...per la parte 'Shine', dopo una bella mano di Heavy Black Gesso ho spruzzato vari Lindy's, sia Starbursts che Moon Shadow Mists ed una volta asciutti mi sono divertita ad aggiungere dei tocchi di luce con le cere Metallique ed Opal Magic...profumate e goduriose!!!
Per completare, ho incollato vari strass e poi dei glitter...ed ecco il mio cuore in tutta la sua 'Brillantinosa' bellezza!

I added various elements to create texture, using Soft Matte Gel to stick them down...in the lot I added also the numbers, 1,2,3 and 4, to simbolize the 4 Stages of this Creative Project...for the 'Shine' part, after covering everything with Heavy Black Gesso, I sprayed with few Lindy's, both Starbursts and Moon Shadow Mists and once dry I had so much fun to add more touches of light and shine with Metallique and Opal Magic waxes...they smell so good and they are gorgeous!!!
As finishing touches added rhinestones and glitters...and here it is, my heart in all its 'Shining' glory!
