#12MMITags Marzo - I paint my own dreams

Ciao a tutti! Eccomi di nuovo con una Tag, che novità eh? Lol!

Questa volta però è per la Sfida mensile del gruppo Mixed Medi@ Italia... questo mese abbiamo pensato di immergerci nei colori, visto il periodo non propriamente positivo, quindi...bando alle ciance...ecco a voi la Moodboard per le #12MMITags2020 di Marzo...

Hello everyone! I'm back with a new Tag, you don't say! Lol!

This time though it's for the monthly challenge in our Facebook Group Mixed Medi@ Italia...for this month we decided to delve into a rainbow of colours, especially needed during these times of turmoil and fear, so...without further ado...here's the new Moodboard for   #12MMITags2020 - March...

Ora, io penso ai colori e mi viene in mente Frida Kahlo, ho quindi deciso di unire entrambi in questa Tag...iniziamo:

Now...usually when I think about colours I also think about Frida Kahlo, so I have decided to merge both into this Tag...let's begin:

Ho usato un cartoncino di media grammatura e l'ho ricoperto con Idea-Ology Collage Paper - Halloween di Tim Holtz, usando il Soft Matte Gel di Finnabair, poi ho dato una mano di Gesso Clear e delle pennellate molto lievi di Heavy Gesso Bianco, sempre di Finnabair.

I have used medium weight cardstock, covered with Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Collage Paper - Halloween, using Finnabair Soft Matte Gel, then I covered everything with Clear Gesso and few strokes of Heavy White Gesso.

Ho aggiunto dei dettagli con uno stencil e la Pasta Stencil Light di TommyArt, fatto asciugare e poi ho spruzzato con gli inchiostry spray Flat Fabio della Lindy's Stamp Gang: Plumeria Pink, Magical Mai Tai, Rizzo's Rowdy Red, Ocean Breeze Blue, Aloha Avocado. La prima volta ho spruzzato il colore, aggiunto acqua e fatto colare, togliendo l'eccesso, poi ho asciugato bene prima di passare al colore successivo. Una volta completato il primo passaggio, ho ripetuto il tutto, senza usare l'acqua, per avere un'effetto più intenso.

Ho fatto asciugare bene e poi ho passato il Wink of Stella Bianco della Zig sulle scritte in rilievo.

Added details using TommyArt Stencil Paste light and a Stencil, let it dry then used Flat Fabios by Lindy's Stamp Gang: Plumeria Pink, Magical Mai Tai, Rizzo's Rowdy Red, Ocean Breeze Blue, Aloha Avocado

For the first step I sprayed a colour, then added water to make it 'run', taking the eccess off with a paper towel, dry it very well and moved to the next colour. Then I repeated the process, this time without adding water, to achieve more intense results.

Let it dry very well then used White Wink of Stella Brush by Zig on the raised words.

Ho timbrato la tag utilizzando un timbro della Prima che assomiglia ad una pennellata, e come inchiostri ho usato i Distress Oxides: Peeled Paint, Spices Marmalade, Aged Mahogany, poi ho ripassato tutti i bordi con il Distess ink Black Soot.

Ho quindi disegnato la mia Frida su cartoncino spesso e l'ho colorata usando brush pens acquarellabili, Zig e Tombow, pastelli Prismacolor e Polychromos.

Poi ho usato uno stencil della 13@rts 'Doily' e la pasta stencil per creare l'effetto 'pizzo'.

I fiori, timbro Moda Scrap ed il cuore, timbro 'Blooming Heart' di AALL&Create,  li ho colorati con i Prismacolor.. mi sono divertita tantissimo.

Per finire ho timbrato un sentiment, timbro Visible Image, su vellum e l'ho embossato con la polvere Clear della Ranger.

I stamped the tag using Distress Oxide Inks: Peeled Paint, Spices Marmalade, Aged Mahogany and a 'brush stroke' stamp by Prima, then darkened the edges with Distress ink Black Soot.

Then I drew my Frida on white cardstock and added colour using watercolour brush pens,  Zig and Tombow, Prismacolor and Polychromos pencils.

I have used a stencil by 13@rts 'Doily' and Stencil paste to create the 'lace' effect.

I have coloured the flowers, a stamp by Moda Scrap, and the heart, AALL&Create stamp 'Blooming Heart' designed by Olga Heldwein, using Prismacolor pencils...and I had so much fun.

As finishing detail I have stamped the sentiment, a Visible Image stamp, on vellum and then embossed with Clear Embossing Powder by Ranger.

WHEN IN DOUBT....ART JOURNAL!

Ciao a tutti e bentornati! Oggi vi mostro uno spread nel mio Dylusions Art Journal...era da tempo che volevo disegnare una delle mie 'whimsy girls' dagli occhi grandi...e ieri avevo proprio bisogno di staccare e 'spaciugare' per bene! Stamattina poi mi sono dedicata alla mia ragazza...
Poi...guarda il caso...ma non vuoi partecipare alla Sfida del Lunedì di SIMON SAYS STAMP, visto che richiedono QUALSIASI COSA BASTA CHE NON SIA UNA CARD? Lol!

Hello everyone and welcome back! Today I'm sharing with you the latest spread in my Large Dylusions Journal...it was some time that I wanted just to have fun and draw one of my 'whimsy big-eyed girls' ...and yesterday it was one of those days when all you need is some time off to get inky hands! This morning when the background was set I took my time to finish off the girl...
Now...why not submit it to the SIMON SAYS STAMP MONDAY CHALLENGE, as  they require ANYTHING BUT A CARD? Lol!

Ho iniziato a decorare il background senza particolare senso, aggiungendo diversi tipi di carta, compreso del washi tape per creare texture, poi ho aggiunto della modeling paste con uno stencil Carabelle (Ronds concentriques). Come potete vedere avevo usato una facciata per 'ripulire' i foam degli Oxides...

I started my background with nothing particular in mind...just wanted to create texture, so I added different kind of paper and some washi tape, then added modeling paste with a Carabelle stencil. (Ronds concentriques)...As you can see I previously used a page to 'clean up' my Distress Oxides foams...

A questo punto ho coperto con del Gesso bianco applicato a spatola e poi ho disegnato il viso con una matita in grafite acquarellabile, tanto per avere un'idea di dove mettere il colore. Poi ho usato i pigmenti in polvere della 13Arts, Rainbow colors Duo Turquoise, Yellow Amber e Pistachio Green, spruzzando con acqua per riattivarli. Una volta soddisfatta del risultato mi sono dedicata a colorare la girl, usando gesso bianco ed acrilico color carne come base e poi aggiungendo i vari colori con Tombow dual Brush pens, Zig Art&Graphic Twin della Kuretake, Gelatos e Polychromos della Faber-Castell. I colpi di luce sono fatti con Uniposca bianco ed i contorni con un marker nero punta fine. Ho usato un paio di stencil della 13Arts (Dots e Your Art) ed aggiunto delle timbrate con un mini timbro della Carabelle ed infine fatto cadere delle gocce di inchiostro 'Splash' nero e bianco. Per il sentiment ho incollato uno sticker della collezione 'Aura Rosa' su un pezzo di carta patterned della collezione 'Until Down', sempre della 13Arts.

I covered the pages with white gesso using a pallette knife, then drew the girl with watersoluble graphite pencil. I added the colour using 13Arts Rainbow color Duo watercolour powders, Turquoise, Yellow Amber and Pistachio Green and spritzed with water. When satisfied with the outcome I started to paint my girl using white gesso and a flesh colour acrylic paint, then used Tombow dual Brush pens, Kuretake Zig Art&Graphic Twin , Faber-Castell Gelatos and Polychromos , white posca pens and black markers. Added more touches with 13Art stencils (Dots and Your Art), then used a tiny stamp by Carabelle and spattered with Splash white and black inks. The sentiment is a sticker from 'Aura Rosa' added to a piece of patterned paper from Until Down collection, all by 13Arts.

Io sono molto soddisfatta di come è uscito questo spread...prevedo altre Big eyes girls...

I am very happy with the results...guess there will be more big eyes girls in my Journal...
