Devo dire che questa carta patterned 12x12 della Studio75 (Cherry Blossom - foglio #03 ) è decisamente perfetta come base Vintage...Ho steso un velo di Clear Gesso di Prima/Finnabair, poi ho iniziato a timbrare sui bordi usando diversi timbri da sfondo ('Diamonds' di Kaisercraft, 'Texture Mini points' di Carabelle Studio, 'Crackle WTKCC136' di Stamperia e 'Grille 3' di Agateria.pl), poi con uno stencil ho aggiunto della modeling paste, fatto asciugare ed aggiunto i Distress Oxide Vintage Photo e Black Soot. Ho fatto cadere delle gocce di inchiostro nero e bianco, asciugato ed incollato del  pizzo.

I have to say that this 12x12 designer paper by Studio75 (Cherry Blossom - sheet #03 ) is absolutely perfect as a Vintage base...I have applied Prima/Finnabair Clear Gesso, then stamped  on the edges using various background stamps ('Diamonds' by Kaisercraft, 'Texture Mini points' by Carabelle Studio, 'Crackle WTKCC136' by Stamperia and 'Grille 3' by Agateria.pl), added modeling paste through a stencil, let dry and used Distress Oxide Inks Vintage photo and Black Soot to add stains of colour. Next splattering with black and white inks then glued a strip of lace.

Per il punto focale ho usato delle strisce di carta dal set Cherry Blossom 6x6, distressandole, poi ho stampato degli orologi (Set WTKCC21 di Stamperia), li ho ritagliati, invecchiati con i Distress inks Vintage Photo e Black Soot ed incollati...Ho usato anche una chipboard di un Orologio, embossandola con le Baked Textures di Emerald Creek/Seth Apter - Chunky Rust e Vintage Beeswax, aggiunto del filo, le immancabili Paper Dolls e degli Small Talk stickers (Tim Holtz Idea-ology). Ho timbrato la scritta Memories (set WTKCC65 di Stamperia) ed formato la parola Yesterday con le fustelle Alphanumeric 1" di Sizzix/Tim Holtz Alterations.

For my focal point I have used strips of paper from Cherry Blossom 6x6 set, then stamped the clock faces (Set WTKCC21 by Stamperia), fussy cut them, aged with Distress inks Vintage Photo and Black Soot and glued to the base. I have also used a Clock with cogs chipboard, embossed with Emerald Creek/Seth Apter's Baked Textures - Chunky Rust and Vintage Beeswax, added thread, my beloved Paper Dolls and a couple of Small Talk stickers (Tim Holtz Idea-ology).
Stamped the word Memories  (set WTKCC65 by Stamperia) and used Alphanumeric 1" thinlits dies by Sizzix/Tim Holtz Alterations for the word Yesterday.

Iniziamo...

Ho coperto la pagina con Gesso Clear, poi ho steso del gesso bianco diluito con un rullo ed asciugato. Ho cercato la posizione giusta per la composizione e quando l'ho trovata ho aggiunto colore e texture...

Let's start...

I have covered the paper with Clear Gesso, then with a wash of white gesso added with a brayer.

Once I have found the perfect placement for my composition  I added colour and texture...

Ho usato i Distress Oxides Ice Spruce, Broken China e Frayed Burlap, poi ho aggiunto della modeling paste e mentre era ancora umida ho coperto con Dirty Sand Baked Texture ed embossato, aggiunto timbrate con Archival ink nero e con l'Oxide Broken China, poi ho usato lo stencil Gothic di Tim Holtz ed il colore acrilico Dylusions White Linen....

Have used Distress Oxides Ice Spruce, Broken China and Frayed Burlap, then added modeling paste and while it was wet I covered with Dirty Sand Baked Texture and heat set, added stamping using both black Archival ink and Broken China Oxide then used Tim Holtz Gothic Layering stencil with Dylusions White Linen paint...

Ho incollato i vari strati sotto la foto, usando cartone, cartoncini di recupero e del vellum e quando tutto era al suo posto ho aggiunto altro colore con InkExtreme Smeraldo di TommyArt...asciugato bene ed aggiunto gli elementi 3D...conchiglie, perle, fiori, un pezzetto di legno, delle chipboard e delle fustellate. Per finire ho fatto cadere gocce di Smeralso molto diluito ed inchiostro bianco.

Glued all the layers under the photo ...I have used a lot of scrap papers, cardboard and pieces of vellum, when everything was in its place I added more colour with Emerald InkExtreme by TommyArt...dried very well then added 3D elements...seashells, pearls, flowers, a piece of wood, chipboards and die cuts. To finish it off spattered with very diluted Emerald and white ink.

For this month's challenge I took inspiration from the picture that I have used on the Layout...
I am very fond of this photo, taken last year on the beautiful and 'wild' Ag. Theologos beach in Kos...the mesmerizing sound of the waves and the amazing shades of the sea are still so vivid in my memories...I collected the seashells used, during my holidays in different Greek Islands, through the years...I'm not much of a 'Sun tan at all costs' person...fair skin and hair really do not help, lol! But I love strolling on the beach, looking for 'treasures' to be added to my stash of  'Holiday keepsakes'!

MEMORIES...

Ciao a tutti, buona Domenica e buona Festa della Mamma!
Oggi vi presento il mio nuovo progetto per il DT di MarteLAB, dedicato ad una mamma speciale...la mia nonna materna...QUI sul Blog di MarteLAB  potrete trovare il tutorial in Italiano... qui sotto, invece proporrò il tutorial in inglese.

Hello my friends happy Sunday and Happy Mother's Day!
I have made a Mixed Media Layout for MarteLAB DT, and I have decided to dedicate it to a very special Mom...my Grandmother! Unfortunately I have never met her, but I have come to know her a bit through my Mother's memories, and with this LO I wanted to celebrate them both.

I have glued together  three sheets of designer paper and distressed them with my scissors. Applied Clear Gesso and then a very thinned layer of White Gesso, tied some string across the middle then added Modeling Paste through two Tim Holtz Layering Stencils - one is from Mini Set #24 and the other is 'Roses'. While the paste was still wet I added some lace, adding also Prima/Finnabair Soft Matte Gel, then let dry. To add colour I have used PaperArtsy Infusions 'Frankly Scarlet' and 'Terracotta',  TommyArt Ink Extreme 'Bordeaux'  then Lindy's Gang Starburst 'Hottie Patottie Hot Pink' , Moon Shadow Mists 'Violaceous Violet' and 'Phantom Fuchsia'. Once dry I used the 'second generation' stamping technique with Black Archival Ink and Prima/Finnabair 'Messy' stamp. I spattered with the inks, adding also some white ink drops.

I have then built my composition using leftover papers, more lace and thread, added my GrandMother's picture, that I have 'aged' using Distress Inks, a frame die cut with 'Ornate Frame #2' BIGZ Die by Sizzix/Tim Holtz Alterations and a chipboard word... I have covered these two pieces with Heavy Black Gesso then added touches of Metallique Waxes 'Old Silver' and 'Vintage Gold', all by Prima/Finnabair, then some Prima flowers that I have sprayed with the inks mentionned before.

All this project is about MEMORIES...of my childhood when my Mum used to share cherished memories about her own Mother, of my heritage, discovering traits and similarities in old pictures kept in a drawer...of my Mum, who is always in my thoughts...Happy Mother's Day!

Ciao a tutti e bentornati! Solo un post veloce per condividere con voi il progetto preparato per partecipare alla sfida di Gennaio sul Blog di MORE THAN WORDS ...
La parola da usare era BIRTHDAY ed il prompt era di inserire almeno due Tags.
Mi sono molto divertita a creare vari layers per questo LO, ed usare una foto del compleanno della mia nipotina di qualche anno fa...come passa il tempo...oggi la nostra Principessa ha ben 5 anni, come mi ha fatto notare...ed è grande! Ma per il mio cuore di zia rimangono, sia lei che suo fratello, i fagottini che erano la prima volta che li ho presi in braccio!

Hello everyone and welcome back! Just a quick post to share with you the project I have made to enter January Challenge over at MORE THAN WORDS Blog...
The word to be used was BIRTHDAY and the prompt was to use at least 2 Tags.
I really had fun building layers for this Layout, and used a pic of my Niece's birthday of some time ago...gosh time really flies...today our little Princess is 5 years old and, as she pointed out, she is big now! But to my 'Auntie's heart' both her and her brother will always be the sweet little bundles of joy they used to be the first moment I took them in my arms!

Ho usato alcuni spray della Lindy's Stamp Gang, timbri della Carabelle Studio e fustellate da un paio di alfabeti di Tim Holtz.

I have used few Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays, Carabelle Studio stamps and die-cuts of a couple of Tim Holtz Alterations alphabets.

Ciao a tutti...eccomi con un progetto un po' diverso dal mio solito...un Layout...

Dovete sapere che in queste ore si sono aperte le iscrizioni al Nazionale ASI 2018 che avrà come tema 'Enjoy the Journey!'...un'esperienza totalmente nuova per me...comunque nell'attesa hanno organizzato una sfida: preparare un Layout 30x30 che contenesse 1 foto di un viaggio, una valigia ed una cartina geografica...e questo è il risultato...

Ho scelto la foto della spiaggia di Elafonissi, Creta...un'acqua meravigliosamente limpida  e dai colori caraibici, come potete vedere...la sua particolarità è di essere collegata a Creta da una lingua sottile di terra,  che a seconda delle maree scompare sott'acqua, e di avere la sabbia a tratti rosa...Un paesaggio selvaggio e davvero meraviglioso che ci ha colpito molto.

Per questo layout ho voluto utilizzare le tonalità del turchese, che amo, e qualche tocco di blu, ovviamente usando i fidati sprays della Lindy's. Avendo come tema il viaggio ho aggiunto dei tocchi con la Modeling Paste e lo stencil 'Traveler' di Tim Holtz, poi ho usato la fustella 'Vintage Globe' sempre di Tim Holtz, ma al posto del mappamondo ho messo una 'punchata' di una cartina di Creta. Ho ritagliato la valigia da una card per planner, ho usato dei timbri 'Carabelle' e 'Visible Image' , delle bolle ritagliate con una fustella Sizzix e la scritta 'Travel' è una fustella della Kesi'Art.
Contrariamente al mio solito, mi sono astenuta dall'usare il Distress Ink Black Soot per 'sporcare'' i bordi del foglio...in realtà mi piace l'idea di non avere dei bordi ben delineati...

Always be Thankful...

Ciao a tutti e bentornati! Oggi voglio condividere con voi il mio primo Layout 30x30...che io non sia una scrapper non è una novità...ahimè! Ovviamente rimango sempre a bocca aperta quando mi capita di vedere i LO di scrappers esperte, pieni di layers, fustellate, timbrate, stickers...io ho ancora tanta e tanta strada da fare, ma, come prima volta diciamo che non mi dispiace!
Volendo fare un progetto che si adattasse ad alcune sfide, ho cercato di utilizzare colori e materiali consoni a quanto richiesto...quindi una bellissima carta 'effetto legno' della Simple Stories, Sprays e Magicals della Lindy's, cartoncino 'strappato e distressato', fustellate di foglie, qualche piuma ed una  foto scattata durante una gita al Lago di Varna, in Alto Adige!
Questa combo di colori mi parla subito di Autunno, che, ormai lo sanno anche i sassi, è la mia stagione preferita...con i suoi colori caldi, i profumi, l'aria frizzante...tutto racchiuso in questa foto...una bellissima giornata, cielo terso, il sole che rendeva i colori ancora più spettacolari...il profumo di camini accesi e caldarroste nell'aria, il rumore delle foglie sotto le scarpe, un senso di pace ed armonia...si...adoro anche l'Alto Adige ed i suoi bellissimi panorami!!!

Hello everyone and welcome back! Today I want to share with you my very first 12"x12" Layout...I'm definitely not a scrapper...unfortunately, and everytime I see those beautiful, multilayered layouts, full of die-cuts, stamps, stickers, I am always in awe...there is still a lot of work to do, but, as my very first time, let's say I'm quite pleased!
As I wanted to submit this project to a number of different challenges, I tried to use colors and materials as requested...so a beautiful 'wood effect' paper by Simple Stories, Sprays and Magicals by Lindy's, some teared-up and distressed cardstock, die-cut leaves and feathers and a picture taken during a day-trip to Varna Lake, in South-Tyrol!
This colors combo speaks to me of Fall, which is by far (as you may know) my favorite Season...with its warm colors, smells, crisp air...all the above is comprised in this picture...a beautiful day, clear sky, the sun making all the colors even more spectacular and intense...the smell of lit fireplaces and roasted chestnuts in the air, the sound of leaves under our shoes, a feel of peace and harmony...yes...I love South Tyrol and those landscapes too!!!

Per prima cosa ho steso del gesso diluito, poi ho spruzzato vari sprays e Magicals (l'elenco lo trovate in fondo al post) e fatto cadere delle gocce qua e là. Ho asciugato ed aggiunto delle timbrate con inchiostro nero Archival, ho timbrato delle foglie con Distress Oxide Walnut Stain ed embossato con Polvere da Embossing trasparente. Ho colorato le foglie così ottenute sia con i Magicals che con i Gelatos metallici. Ho spruzzato le fustellate sempre con gli spray della Lindy's, ho preso un cartoncino stampato con il mio Gelli plate e l'ho strappato in due parti...su una ho steso il Distress Oxide Spiced Marmalade, mentre sull'altra il Wilted Violet, poi ho fatto cadere delle gocce di acqua e di inchiostro. Ho rovinato i bordi e li ho ripassati con Black Soot.
Ho assemblato il tutto, aggiungendo dello spago e poi ho ritagliato la scritta 'THANKFUL' da un pezzo di sughero, usando le fustelle Thinlits 'Alphanumeric' di Sizzix/Tim Holtz , e poi l'ho mattato con del cartoncino nero.
Come ultimo tocco ho rovinato con le forbici i bordi del foglio e li ho ripassati con il Distress Ink pad Black Soot.

First of all layered with diluted gesso, then added colors with Sprays and Magicals (you'll find the list at the end of this post), and spattered here and there. Dryed and stamped with Black archival ink, stamped also few leaves using Distress Oxide Walnut Stain and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. Painted those leaves using Magicals and metallic Gelatos. Used sprays also on the die-cuts, finally got to use a print made with my Gelli plate...tore it in two...on one used Distress Oxide Spiced Marmalade and Wilted Violet on the other, then spattered with water and inks. Distressed and aged the borders using Black Soot.
Glued everything together, adding some string and die-cut the word 'THANKFUL' using 'Alphanumeric' Thinlits dies by Sizzix/Tim Holtz,  on a piece of cork, then based it with black cardstock. As final touch I distressed all the borders with scissors and then aged with Black Soot Distress Ink.
