SIMON SAYS... A BIT O' GREEN

Ciao a tutti e bentornati per la seconda settimana dedicata alla Sfida del Lunedì sul BLOG di SIMON SAYS STAMP. Il titolo della sfida è 'A BIT O' GREEN'.

Allora sarà che nel mese di Marzo si festeggia il giorno di San Patrizio, sarà che il colore verde io lo associo all'Irlanda, sarà che quando penso all'Irlanda mi vengono in mente le bellissime pecore dal musino nero, per qualsivoglia ragione la mia musa mi ha portato a realizzare questa Tag che vi mostro oggi...

Hello everyone and welcome back for the second week dedicated to the SIMON SAYS STAMPMONDAY CHALLENGE...the prompt is 'A BIT O' GREEN'.

Now maybe the reason is that March in the month when St. Patrick's Day is celebrated, maybe is because the color Green to me it's synonymous of Ireland, maybe because whenever I think about Ireland I immediately think about those adorable sheep with a black muzzle, whatever the reason might be, my creative Muse led me to create the Tag I am showing you today...

Per questo lavoro ho utilizzato 2 set di Timbri di TIM HOLTZ che personalmente adoro, cioè 'ON THE FARM' e 'DAPPER'. Ho iniziato timbrando la pecora ed il nastro con il VERSAFINE CLAIR VERDANT su cartoncino per acquerello. Sempre sullo stesso cartoncino ho timbrato varie immagini della pecora, del nastro e del 'registro' con VERSAFINE INK ONYX BLACK.

For this Tag I have used 2 Stamp sets by TIM HOLTZ that I absolutely adore, that is 'ON THE FARM' and 'DAPPER'. I started with stamping the sheep and the prize ribbon with VERSAFINE CLAIR INK VERDANT on watercolor card stock. Always on the same card stock I stamped 3 images of the sheep, the prize ribbon and the ledger with VERSAFINE INK ONYX BLACK.

Ho ritagliato il vello dalla pecorella verde e la parte superiore del nastro in b/n ed aggiunto delle sfumature con il DISTRESS OXIDE INK TWISTED CITRON ed il DISTRESS INK LUCKY CLOVER.

I then fussy cut the fleece from the green sheep and part of the prize ribbon stamped in black and added more color with DISTRESS OXIDE INK TWISTED CITRON and DISTRESS INK LUCKY CLOVER.

Nel frattempo ho ricavato una Tag sempre dal cartoncino per acquerello, ho coperto la superficie con CLEAR GESSO e poi con il LAYERING STENCIL 'MOSAIC' e la DISTRESS GRIT PASTE ho aggiunto della texture alla base della Tag.

Meanwhile I cut out a Tag shape from watercolor cardstock, covered the surface with CLEAR GESSO then using LAYERING STENCIL MOSAIC and DISTRESS GRIT PASTE I added some texture on the bottom of the tag.

Ora viene la parte divertente, cioè usare gli sprays...Ho iniziato con DISTRESS STAIN SPRAY RUSTIC WILDERNESS in alcuni punti ed immediatamente spruzzato il DISTRESS OXIDE SPRAY FRAYED BURLAP poi ho diluito spruzzando con acqua. Ho 'fatto viaggiare' il colore muovendo la tag in varie direzioni, ho poi asciugato bene e spruzzato con DISTRESS OXIDE SPRAY MOWED LAWN e TWISTED CITRON. Ho di nuovo diluito con acqua e ripetuto il processo sino a quando soddisfatta del risultato. Asciugato bene, ho poi spruzzato dell'acqua nel palmo della mano e scrollato le gocce sulla superficie, assorbendo l'acqua con un foglio di carta da cucina. Questa tecnica è detta 'spritz&flick' ed la adoro perchè aiuta a creare movimento ed interesse nello sfondo.

Now for the fun part, that is Spraying...I started with DISTRESS STAIN SPRAY RUSTIC WILDERNESS in a few spots then immediately sprayed with DISTRESS OXIDE SPRAY FRAYED BURLAP then diluted with water. I made the color 'walk' around the tag, by moving it around until safisfied, then dried and added DISTRESS OXIDE SPRAY MOWED LAWN and TWISTED CITRON. More water and repeated the process until I liked what I achieved and dried. Then used the technique called 'Spritz&Flick' by spraying some water on the palm of my hand and flick the drops on the tag, then blot the water in excess with some paper towel. I love this simple technique because it helps to create movement and interest in the background.

Per arricchire lo sfondo ho poi iniziato ad aggiungere delle timbrate con le scritte dei 2 set di timbri ON THE FARM e DAPPER. Sulla Tag ho aggiunto delle timbrate con VERSAFINE CLAIR VERDANT, e poi ripetute con VERSAFINE INK ONYX BLACK, infine ho timbrato in alcuni punti con VERSAFINE CLAIR TULIP RED che è un bellissimo colore in contrasto con la base verde.

Ho aggiunto anche delle timbrate sul 'registro' dopo averlo ritagliato.

In order to make the background more interesting I then stamped on it using stamps from the two sets ON THE FARM and DAPPER, using VERSAFINE CLAIR VERDANT, then VERSAFINE INK ONYX BLACK and finally few details using VERSAFINE CLAIR TULIP RED, a truly stunning color which goes very well with the green of the base.

I added few details also on the ledger.

Ho poi deciso di 'invecchiare' un po' il registro con i seguenti DISTRESS INKS ANTIQUE LINEN, VINTAGE PHOTO, GROUND ESPRESSO e BLACK SOOT.

I then decided to 'age' the ledger (it was too bright in my opinion) using the following DISTRESS INKS ANTIQUE LINEN, VINTAGE PHOTO, GROUND ESPRESSO and BLACK SOOT.

Ora non resta che che assemblare il tutto, ma prima ho ripassato i bordi della Tag con DISTRESS INK BLACK SOOT e DISTRESS CRAYON BLACK SOOT, per dare più intensità.

Ho incollato il vello ritagliato in precedenza sopra ad una delle pecorelle, stessa cosa fatta con il nastro, poi ho incollato il registro, un ephemera dal set COLLECTOR EPHEMERA LAYERS, una PAPER DOLL, le pecorelle, aggiunto del filo nero, una QUOTE CHIP, del nastro in tinta ed una LOOP PIN con una STORY STICK, tutto della linea IDEA-OLOGY di TIM HOLTZ.

The final step is to assemble all the pieces, but first I deepened the edges of the Tag with DISTRESS INK BLACK SOOT and DISTRESS CRAYON BLACK SOOT.

I glued the 'green fleece' that I fussy cut before on one of the black and white sheep, done the same with the prize ribbon, then glued down the ledger, a piece from the COLLECTOR EPHEMERA LAYERS, a PAPER DOLL, the three sheep, some black thread, a QUOTE CHIP, a piece of green ribbon and a LOOP PIN holding a STORY STICK, all the above from TIM HOLTZ IDEA-OLOGY line.

SIMON SAYS...MAKE YOUR OWN BACKGROUND

Ciao a tutti! E' passato tanto tempo dal mio ultimo post su questo Blog e anche oggi come allora sono onorata e felice di essere stata scelta per questo mese come GUEST DESIGNER per la SFIDA DEL LUNEDI SUL BLOG DI SIMON SAYS STAMP!

Come da tradizione, il primo Lunedì del mese è dedicato ad un brand o un Artista i cui prodotti vengono usati nel progetto che andrò a presentarvi, e sono felicissima di dirvi che l'Artista in questione è TRACY EVANS ed il suo Brand, TRACY EVANS BOUTIQUE DESIGNS. Non solo Tracy è una bravissima Designer ed Artista, ma anche una persona deliziosa e generosa...la adoro.

Quindi, senza più indugi ecco a voi il mio progetto...

Hello everyone! It's been sooo long since my last post on this pages and today, just like back then I am honored and beyond happy to be this month's GUEST DESIGNER for SIMON SAYS STAMP MONDAY CHALLENGE!

As tradition dictates, the first Monday of the Month a Brand or an Artist is showcased in the project that I'm going to show you in a moment, and I am absolutely thrilled to reveal the name of this Month's featured Artist...TRACY EVANS and her signature Brand, TRACY EVANS BOUTIQUE DESIGNS. Tracy is not only a very talented Designer and Artist but also a very generous and lovely person...truly love her.

So, without further ado, here's my project...

Prima di tutto ho creato il mio sfondo usando della tissue paper non stampata, potete usare anche della carta di riso sempre neutra. Ho utilizzato lo STENCIL 'GRUNGE' alternando i DISTRESS INKS ANTIQUE LINEN, SPECKLED EGG e PUMICE STONE.

First of all I created my own background using blank tissue paper, but you can also use blank rice paper, and STENCIL 'GRUNGE' with the following DISTRESS INKS: ANTIQUE LINEN, SPECKLED EGG and PUMICE STONE.

Poi ho timbrato ripetutamente la stessa immagine con il TIMBRO 'BACKGROUND ELEMENTS' semplicemente utilizzando diversi colori , partendo dal più chiaro al più scuro, usando i VERSAFINE CLAIR INKS ARCTIC, VERDANT, MORNING MIST e WARM BREEZE. (Quando timbrate sul Tissue Paper ricordatevi di mettere dei fogli di carta sotto alla superficie, per non sporcare tutto il vostro piano di lavoro.)

Then I stamped the same image with 'BACKGROUND ELEMENTS' Stamp over and over, using different colors, starting with the softer one and ending with the boldest, VERSAFINE CLAIR INKS ARCTIC, VERDANT, MORNING MIST and WARM BREEZE. (When you stamp on Tissue paper use some spare paper underneath to keep your working surface. clean)

Con una fustella ho tagliato un cerchio di circa 10,5 cm di diametro usando del cartoncino per acquerello. (Se non avete delle fustelle che tagliano cerchi, potete semplicemente prendere un piatto e segnare il contorno con una matita e poi ritagliare con un paio di forbici). Poi ho strappato delle strisce dalla carta decorata in precedenza e con il DISTRESS COLLAGE MEDIUM 'MATTE' le ho incollate al cartoncino. Ho asciugato bene e tagliato l'eccesso di carta intorno al bordo.

I die-cut a circle with a width of 4 ¼ inches out of watercolor cardstock, any heavy cardstock will do. (If you do not have any die sets you can simply trace around a plate with a pencil and then cut it out with a pair of scissors.) Then tore strips from the decorated tissue paper and glued them down with DISTRESS COLLAGE MEDIUM 'MATTE'. Dried it well then trimmed the excess of paper around the circle.

Ho usato un vecchio pennello asciutto ed ho aggiunto delle pennellate di gesso bianco, ma si può usare anche del colore acrilico bianco, ho asciugato e poi con una spatola, lo Stencil 'GRUNGE' e della DISTRESS GRIT PASTE, ho aggiunto un pò di texture in alcuni punti della base.

With a scruffy, old brush I added some white gesso, but you can also use white acrylic paint, dried it then added texture with the STENCIL 'GRUNGE' and DISTRESS GRIT PASTE using a palette knife.

Dal set 'INSECT' ho usato l'immagine principale e ho timbrato usando VERSAFINE INK ONYX BLACK su vellum e poi ho coperto la timbrata con RANGER CLEAR EMBOSSING POWDER e fissato il tutto con embosser.

Ho timbrato di nuovo la stessa immagine e 'la farfalla/falena' più piccola un paio di volte sul cartoncino per acquerello e poi ho usato 2 fustelle per tagliare i cerchi di una delle immagini più grosse, ed ho ritagliato le restanti 'falene'. (Se li avete potete usare dei punch, oppure ritagliarli a mano)

From the STAMP SET 'INSECT' I stamped the main image using VERSAFINE INK ONYX BLACK on vellum paper, then immediately covered it with RANGER CLEAR EMBOSSING POWDER and heat set it.

The same image and the smaller 'butterfly/moth' I stamped twice also on watercolor cardstock, then used two wafer dies to cut out the circles of one of the main image and fussy cut the rest of the butterflies/moths.(If you don't have the dies you can use circle punches or simply fussy cut them)

Per rafforzare i colori dello sfondo ho aggiunto qualche tocco di DISTRESS OXIDE INK TWISTED CITRON e DISTRESS INK MERMAID LAGOON. La 'falena' più grande, che diventerà la parte focale della card l'ho colorata con gli stessi colori usati per lo sfondo, quindi TWISTED CITRON e MERMAID LAGOON.

I added few touches of DISTRESS OXIDE INK TWISTED CITRON and DISTRESS INK MERMAID LAGOON which are very similar to the colors used when creating the background base, I also added a few touches of color to the bigger moth with the colors of the background, that is TWISTED CITRON and MERMAID LAGOON.

Ho ripassato i bordi del cerchio con DISTRESS INK BLACK SOOT e quindi assemblato il tutto, unendo anche delle fustellate di numeri usando il set 'COUNTDOWN' di Tim Holtz, o anche timbrato le piccole 'graffette' dal timbro 'BACKGROUND ELEMENTS' e le ho ritagliate, ho aggiunto del filo nero e qualche goccia di inchiostro nero. Finisce il tutto un sentiment dal set SMALL TALK ed una MINI PAPER CLIP. Alla fine però mi sembrava mancasse qualcosa, quindi ho deciso di tagliare un cartoncino nero a 12x24 cm, piegarlo in metà per farlo diventare una card 12x12 cm ed incollare il mio progetto come punto focale. Ecco quindi la mia card finita!

I darkened the edges of the base with a touch of DISTRESS INK BLACK SOOT, then assembled all the pieces...I also added two numbers from the 'COUNTDOWN' Thinlits Dies set by Tim Holtz, also from the 'BACKGROUND ELEMENTS' Stamp I stamped the two tiny paper clips and fussy cut them to add them in the final composition, then finally added some black thread and spattered with black ink. As a final touch a sentiment from SMALL TALK sticker booklet and a MINI PAPER CLIP. I loved the final results, though I don't know it didn't look complete, so I simply cut a strip of black cardstock at 4 3/4 x 9 1/2 inches then scored in half, lenghtwise to have a card base of 4 3/4 x 4 3/4 inches and glued my project on the front. So here's my finished card!

SIMON SAYS...INSPIRED BY AN ARTIST!

Ciao a tutti e buon Lunedì! Eccomi a voi con il mio ultimo progetto come Guest Designer per il Blog SIMON SAYS STAMP MONDAY CHALLENGE.
Questa settimana il tema della Sfida è 'INSPIRED BY AN ARTIST', ed ho avuto solo l'imbarazzo della scelta tra i vari artisti a cui potermi ispirare...alla fine, forse senza troppe sorprese, la scelta è caduta su lui, l'unico ed inimitabile TIM HOLTZ!

Hello everyone and happy Monday! Here I am with my last project as Guest Designer for SIMON SAYS STAMP MONDAY CHALLENGE BLOG.
This week's theme is 'INSPIRED BY AN ARTIST' and there is a pletora of artists who are or have been a massive source of inspiration. Finally and maybe not surprisingly, I decided to choose the one and only TIM HOLTZ!
As usual you will find a supply list of the material used and available at SIMON SAYS STAMP STORE at the end of the post.

Per questo progetto ho deciso di ispirarmi alla tecnica del Collage illustrata da Tim durante i suoi bellissimi Live del Sabato sul suo canale You Tube (se non lo avete ancora fatto, andate ed iscrivetevi...quell'uomo è una fucina di idee e soprattutto spiega e dimostra alla perfezione tutti i materiali della sua linea. Unica avvertenza...alla fine vi verrà voglia di comprare tutto quello che vi fa vedere nella Demo! Lol!)

Per creare questo sfondo ho deciso di usare vari materiali con diversi spessori, per aggiungere più interesse al tutto.
Come base ho utilizzato una MINI TAG CHIPBOARD ETCETERA (che ad onor del vero tanto mini non è...), su cui ho passato uno strato di gesso bianco e poi ricoperto con COLLAGE PAPER 'DOCUMENT' e pezzi di DESIGN TAPE. Dopodichè ho iniziato ad incollare vari elementi delle collezioni EPHEMERA THRIFT SHOP e LAYERS EPHEMERA COLLECTOR con il DISTRESS COLLAGE MEDIUM 'VINTAGE'. Dopo aver coperto tutto con un ulteriore strato di collage medium, per evitare che si vedessero i segni del pennello, ho usato il dito con un movimento circolare e steso bene il tutto. La colorazione del gel mi dona già un look vintage ed 'Old style' che adoro!

For this project I have decided to create something inspired by the Collage technique as seen during one of Tim's amazing Saturday You Tube Live Demos.(If you haven't already, just go and subscribe...that man's mind is always at work with awesome ideas but most of all he explains and shows how to use the many materials from his line like no other. One word of caution...eventually you are gonna NEED every single thing he uses in the Demo and this will cause a massive shopping spree! Lol!)

To create this background I have played with various materials and I think that their different thickness add to the overall interest of the project.
As my base I have used an ETCETERA CHIPBOARD MINI TAG (which is not mini at all...lol), after adding a thin layer of white gesso I covered the tag with COLLAGE PAPER 'DOCUMENT' and bits and pieces of DESIGN TAPE, then started to adhere various elements from the collections EPHEMERA THRIFT SHOP and LAYERS EPHEMERA COLLECTOR using DISTRESS COLLAGE MEDIUM 'VINTAGE'. Once everything was in place and covered with another layer of collage medium, in order to avoid visible brush strokes I spread it with my fingers with a circular motion. The brown tinted gel gives the project a Vintage and Old style look that I truly love!

Una volta asciutto ho scurito i bordi e dato risalto ai vari elementi con i DISTRESS CRAYONS.
Di solito non uso colori troppo accesi, ed infatti anche in questo caso, specie per mantenere l'effetto Vintage ho preferito usare: FOSSILIZED AMBER, RUSTY HINGE, PEACOCK FEATHERS, VINTAGE PHOTO, WALNUT STAIN, BLACK SOOT. Per aggiungere dei tocchi di luce qua e là ho usato il PICKET FENCE.
Poi ho appoggiato lo STENCIL 'INDUSTRIAL' sulla tag e con una salviettina quasi asciutta ho 'tolto' il colore in alcuni punti. L'effetto sullo sfondo scuro è molto sottile ma mi piace.
Con la stessa salviettina ho ripassato alcune zone per schiarire lo sfondo e far intravedere meglio alcuni elementi.

Once dry I enhanced the edges of the collaged pieces with DISTRESS CRAYONS.
I usually do not use bold colors, in fact in order to keep the Vintage look I have used: FOSSILIZED AMBER, RUSTY HINGE, PEACOCK FEATHERS, VINTAGE PHOTO, WALNUT STAIN, BLACK SOOT. To add highlights I have used PICKET FENCE in few spots.
With an almost dry baby wipe and LAYERING STENCIL INDUSTRIAL I have lifted some color...it's very subtle but I really like the effect against the dark background.
I have also used the baby wipe to scrub off the color here and there, revealing the background underneath even more.

Ora...potevo fermarmi qui? Certo che no! Quindi ho costruito altri strati con gli EPHEMERA per preparare il sostegno per la mia BASEBOARD DOLL.
Dopo aver usato il DISTRESS CRAYON BLACK SOOT lungo il bordo sinistro per accentuare l'ombra ho seguito i contorni del vestito e del cappello con una embossing pen e poi ho usato le DISTRESS EMBOSSING GLAZE SPECKLED EGG e RUSTY HINGE.
Ho aggiunto ancora il DISTRESS CRAYON BLACK SOOT sul vestito del gentiluomo per un look ancora più 'rovinato' ed infine l'ho incollata con la COLLA NUVO.

Ho coperto una METAL WORD BAND con il DISTRESS CRAYON PICKET FENCE, e poi con uno straccio ho tolto l'eccesso e l'ho legata alla tag con dello spago.
Ho invecchiato l'anello di rinforzo per il foro della tag usando i DISTRESS CRAYONS VINTAGE PHOTO, WALNUT STAIN, RUSTY HINGE, BLACK SOOT e PEACOCK FEATHERS per creare l'effetto patina.
Come tocco finale ho incollato un CLIPPING sticker ed una MINI PAPER CLIP.

Now...could I stop here? Of course not! Hence I built more layers using other EPHEMERA bits and pieces to prepare the perfect spot where to place my BASEBOARD DOLL.
After scribbling DISTRESS CRAYON BLACK SOOT onto its side, to deepen the shadows, I have covered the areas that I wanted to 'glaze' with an embossing pen, then sprinkled with DISTRESS EMBOSSING GLAZE SPECKLED EGG, for the dress and RUSTY HINGE for the hat and heat set them.
I've added more DISTRESS CRAYON BLACK SOOT on the gent's dress to add to the worn look, then glued it in place using NUVO GLUE

I've covered a METAL WORD BAND with DISTRESS CRAYON PICKET FENCE, then scrubbed off the excess to highlight the words and added to the tag with some twine.
I've 'aged' the hole reinforcer using DISTRESS CRAYONS VINTAGE PHOTO, WALNUT STAIN, RUSTY HINGE, BLACK SOOT and PEACOCK FEATHERS to create the patina effect.
As final touches I added a CLIPPING Sticker and a MINI PAPER CLIP.

SIMON SAYS...FRAME IT!

Ciao a tutti e buon Lunedì! Eccomi a voi con un'altro progetto come Guest Designer per il Blog SIMON SAYS STAMP MONDAY CHALLENGE.
Questa settimana il tema della Sfida è 'FRAME IT', e dopo averci pensato su un pò ho deciso di creare una cornice un pò fuori dagli schemi come punto focale di questo mio Layout.

Hello everyone and happy Monday! Here I am with another project as Guest Designer for SIMON SAYS STAMP MONDAY CHALLENGE BLOG.
This week's theme is 'FRAME IT' and after thinking about it for a while I have decided for a peculiar 'frame' as part of the focal point of this Layout.
As usual you will find a supply list of the material used and available at SIMON SAYS STAMP STORE at the end of the post.

Diciamo che questo non è un Layout convenzionale, in quanto l'unica cosa che condivide con una pagina di scrap tradizionale è solo la dimensione di 12x12 pollici...per il resto è divertimento Mixed Media puro!

Let's say this is not a conventional Layout, meaning that the only thing it has in common with a traditional scrap page is the dimension, that is 12x12 inches...a part from this it is pure Mixed Media fun!

Come base ho utilizzato una pagina dal PAPER STASH 'FRENCH INDUSTRIAL' di Tim Holtz, e l'ho preparata stendendo uno strato abbondante di GESSO CLEAR. Ho asciugato e dopo aver schiarito un pò lo sfondo con un wash di gesso bianco ho timbrato la lente d'ingrandimento dal set 'MAGNIFY IT' di AALL & Create con DISTRESS OXIDE INK BLACK SOOT, coperto con la POLVERE DA EMBOSSING CLEAR ed embossato. Ho fatto questo passaggio perchè non volevo perdermi nessun dettaglio di questo timbro una volta usati i colori.

As my base I have used a sheet of paper from Tim Holtz Idea-ology PAPER STASH 'FRENCH INDUSTRIAL' and sealed it with a couple of layers of CLEAR GESSO. Dried it and after a wash of white gesso I stamped the magnifying glass from the stamp set 'MAGNIFY IT' by AALL & Create with DISTRESS OXIDE INK BLACK SOOT, covered with CLEAR EMBOSSING POWDER and heat set it. I did this step because I did not want to lose any detail of this image when adding the inks to colour the background.

Ho aggiunto delle timbrate riempitive con il VERSAFINE ONYX BLACK ed i timbri 'TIME UP' e 'OVERLAPPING TEXTURE' sempre di AALL & Create. Ho prelevato l'inchiostro direttamente con il timbro ed ho aggiunto delle timbrate parziali intorno all'immagine principale e nell'angolo in basso a destra, e non importa se non sono perfette perchè servono solo a creare uno sfondo interessante. Ho continuato ad aggiungere dei dettagli allo sfondo con lo STENCIL #87 'TOTALLY DOTTY' e la GRIT PASTE.

Using VERSAFINE ONYX BLACK INK I added background stamping using 'TIME UP' and 'OVERLAPPING TEXTURE' stamps by AALL & Create. I simply dabbed the stamp onto the ink pad without using a stamping block, and added details around the focal point and on the right corner at the opposite of the page. Again it doesn't matter if the images are not crisp or perfect because I only needed them to add more interest to the background.

I kept adding details to the background using STENCIL #87 'TOTALLY DOTTY' and GRIT PASTE.

Per aggiungere colore alla pagina ho usato i pigmenti in polvere INFUSIONS di Paper Artsy: RUSTY CAR, GOLDEN SANDS e FRANKLY SCARLET. Ho fatto scendere pochissimi granelli e poi ho spruzzato con acqua, facendo scorrere il colore e tamponando l'eccesso con un pezzo di carta da cucina. Asciugato e poi passato al colore successivo. Per il FRANKLY SCARLET invece di spruzzare con acqua ho mosso direttamente il colore con un pennello bagnato, per avere più controllo. Per dosare con facilità i colori io ho fatto un foro nel mezzo del tappo di alluminio, così li uso tipo 'salino'. Poi uso un pezzetto di washi tape per chiudere il buchino ed evitare di rovesciare il colore.

To add color to the background I have used Paper Artsy INFUSIONS STAINS: RUSTY CAR, GOLDEN SANDS e FRANKLY SCARLET. This water soluble particles are a mix of dye pigments and Walnut stain and they enhance the Vintage effect of the project. I sprinkle a minimun amount of powder then spritz with water, let the color flow dabbing the excess off with a paper towel. Dry and move to the next color. For the last one, FRANKLY SCARLET instead of using a spritzer I have added and moved the color around with a brush and a veery small amount of water, in order to have more control.
Since you really need a very small amount of color because Infusions are highly pigmented, to use mine I made a hole in the lid, using a large needle, so I can use the bottle as a 'salt dispenser' and protect the lid with a piece of washi tape.

Ho incollato un cerchio ritagliato da un foglio di WORN WALLPAPER nel centro della lente, coperto con un wash di gesso bianco ed aggiunto degli accenti di colore con LAYERING STENCIL 'GOTHIC' e DISTRESS OXIDE INK RUSTIC WILDERNESS.

I glued a circle cut out of a sheet of WORN WALLPAPER to cover the center of the magnifying glass, added a wash of white gesso and few accents of color using LAYERING STENCIL 'GOTHIC' and DISTRESS OXIDE INK RUSTIC WILDERNESS.

Ho timbrato l'immagine principale una seconda volta su un foglio di cartoncino per acquerello e l'ho ritagliata. Ho aggiunto dello spessore, del filo nero ed incollato la lente sopra all'immagine timbrata in precedenza, per formare la 'cornice'. Poi ho timbrato di nuovo solo i fiori, ritagliati ed incollati aggiungendoli a quelli già presenti e anche nell'angolo in basso a destra
Una PAPER DOLL e gli SMALL TALK STICKERS finiscono il tutto.
Ho rifinito la pagina rovinando i bordi con una forbice ed invecchiandoli con i DISTRESS INKS VINTAGE PHOTO, GROUND ESPRESSO e BLACK SOOT.
Ho infine incollato sul retro un pezzo di cartone di recupero, leggermente più piccolo rispetto al foglio, per dare maggiore stabilità e fatto cadere delle gocce di acrilico nero.

I stamped the main image a second time onto heavy watercolor paper and fussy cut it. I added bits of cardboard on the back so it was slightly raised from the background, some black thread before gluing the magnifying glass over the previously stamped image, creating a 'frame'. After that I stamped again only the flowers, fussy cut them, added some to the focal point and gluing the rest on the opposite corner.
Added a PAPER DOLL and used SMALL TALK STICKERS as my sentiments.
To finish the Layout I have distressed the edges with my scissors then aged them using DISTRESS INKS VINTAGE PHOTO, GROUND ESPRESSO and BLACK SOOT.
Finally I glued a piece of recycled cardboard, slightly smaller than the page, on the back to make it sturdier, and spattered with a black posca pen.
