Love is in the Air...

Ciao a tutti e bentornati!  Siamo già a Febbraio, mese degli innamorati per eccellenza...e vi mostro una Tag fatta per la sfida settimanale sul blog di SIMON SAYS STAMP MONDAY CHALLENGE, il cui tema, manco a dirsi è 'LOVE IS IN THE AIR'...ora...non è che l'ho presa troppo alla lettera? He he he....

Hello everyone and welcome back! Here we are, it's February already, month dedicated to LOVE worldwide...and today I am showing you a Tag made for this week's  challenge over at SIMON SAYS STAMP MONDAY CHALLENGE BLOG, and the theme is 'LOVE IS IN THE AIR'...now...don't tell me it is too literal, right? He he he...

Il procedimento è piuttosto semplice: ho incollato del cartoncino Kraft su di un cartoncino più pesante per dargli corpo, ho incollato delle strisce di pagine di libro qua e là, poi ho coperto tutto con Gesso Bianco diluito. Asciugato poi ho aggiunto i Distress Oxide inks: Cracked Pistachio, Broken China, Peacock Feathers, Stormy Sky e Faded Jeans, ho asciugato tra un colore e l'altro poi ho fatto cadere delle gocce di acqua, asciugato di nuovo poi con il mini layering stencil THMS073 di Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous ho aggiunto i Distress Inks Cracked Pistachio e Peacock Feathers, ripetendo il pattern su tutta la tag. Ho spruzzato con acrilico bianco, poi ho rovinato i bordi con le forbici ed ho passato il Distress ink Black Soot; con il Versafine Black Onyx ho timbrato le finte cuciture lungo i bordi della Tag...ecco qualche particolare..

How-to's: glued some Kraft cardstock onto a heavier one for more sturdiness, then glued strips of book pages here and there, covered with a wash of white gesso. Added D.O.Cracked Pistachio, Broken China, Peacock Feathers, Stormy Sky and Faded Jeans, dried between each colour then spritzed with water, dried again then added Distress Inks Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers through Tim Holtz/Stampers Anonymous mini layering stencil THMS073, moving the stencil to cover all the surface. Spattered with white acrylic paint, distressed the edges of the tag with my scissors then with Distress ink Black Soot, last I stamped faux stiches with Black Onyx Versafine ink pad....here's few details...

Per questo progetto ho utilizzato parecchio delle pagine di libro: per fare le nuvolette, come background su cui timbrare l'aereo (timbro Deep Red), per ricoprire il cuore. Ho fustellato la scritta LOVE con una fustellina Kesi'Art, aggiunto filo, una taggina strappata, una etichetta timbrata con un mini timbro Carabelle e del vellum. Come sentiments gli immancabili Small Talk stickers di Tim Holtz.

For this project I have indulged a lot in using book pages: to create little clouds, as background for the stamped airplane (Deep Red stamp), to cover the little heart. I die cut the word LOVE with a Kesi'Art die, added thread, a piece of a small tag, a label stamped with a Carabelle stamp and vellum. As sentiments my beloved Small Talk stickers by Tim Holtz.
