Heart & Soul...

Ciao a tutti e bentornati! Ormai prossimi alla festa degli Innamorati, devo dire che i cuori si sprecano...Lol! Ecco quindi il mio nuovo progetto...una tag dai toni un po' dark...per un San Valentino alternativo!

Hello everyone and welcome back! As 'Lovers day' is getting closer, I must say that hearts are really everywhere...Lol! So here's my new project...a slightly 'dark' tag...for a 'different' Valentines day!

Ho iniziato stendendo la Distress Micro Glaze attraverso lo stencil 'Text Manuscrit' della Carabelle Studio, ho asciugato, poi ho timbrato con inchiostro Archival nero usando i timbri 'Background Papillons' e 'Texture Chevrons' sempre della Carabelle Studio. Ho steso i Distress Oxides sul craft mat, spruzzati con acqua ed ho raccolto il colore con la tag...prima con ABANDONED CORAL, poi CANDIED APPLE ed infine FIRED BRICK...asciugato bene e poi fatto cadere delle gocce d'acqua...il risultato mi piace molto! Per completare ho ripassato i bordi con il Distress Ink Black Soot e poi ho mattato la tag su cartoncino nero. PS avete notato come risaltano le scritte dello stencil? la Micro Glaze è perfetta per questa tecnica 'resist'! Un consiglio però...lavate immediatamente lo stencil!

I started applying Distress Micro Glaze through 'Text Manuscrit' stencil by Carabelle Studio, dried then stamped with black Archival ink, using  'Background Papillons' and 'Texture Chevrons' stamps by Carabelle Studio. 'Smooshed' Distress Oxides on my craft mat, spritzed with water and picked up the colour with the tag...first ABANDONED CORAL, then CANDIED APPLE and last FIRED BRICK...dried very well then flicked with water...I really like how this background turned out! Darkened the edges with Distress Ink Black Soot, then attached the tag on black cardstock. PS did you noticed the writing on the background? Distress Micro Glaze is perfect for this 'resist' technique! Wash immediately the stencil after using the Glaze!

Ora il cuore...sempre usando lo stesso stencil, ho steso della modeling paste e, una volta asciutta, ho steso direttamente sul cuore le Distress Stains Frayed Burlap e Tarnished Brass, rimosso l'eccesso con della carta e poi steso le Metallique Waxes Old Silver e Vintage Gold di Prima/Finnabair. Con il Distress Crayons Black Soot ho 'sporcato' le scritte, tolto eccesso con carta e poi aggiunto dei tocchi con la Opal Magic wax Turquoise Satin. Per le ali ('Detailed Butterflies' thinlits di Sizzix/Tim Holtz Alterations) ho steso il Distress Crayon Black Soot, poi ho aggiunto dei tocchi con le cere Opal Magic wax Turquoise Satin e Metallique Vintage Gold .
Ho aggiunto del filo metallico sul cuore, un paio di ingranaggi di metallo ed incollato alla tag.

Now for the Heart...with the same stencil I used some modeling paste and once dry I applied Distress Stains Frayed Burlap and Tarnished Brass directly on the heart. Took off the excess with a paper towel then added few touches of Prima/Finnabair Metallique Waxed Old Silver and Vintage Gold. I smudged Distress Crayon Black Soot  over the writings, then added Opal Magic Wax Turquoise Satin, always by Prima. For the wings ('Detailed Butterflies' dies by Sizzix/Tim Holtz Alterations) I applied Distress Crayon Black Soot, then added Opal Magic wax Turquoise Satin and Metallique Vintage Gold .
Added wire on the Heart, a couple of gears and glued it down on the tag.

Come ultimo tocco ho incollato una Quote Chip ed in mezzo un vecchio pennino scovato in un mercatino...

As a final touch added a Quote Chip and an old nib, found in a Flea Market...
