Ciao a tutti! Oggi voglio mostrarvi quello che è partito come una semplice prova di materiali nuovi e, lungo la strada si è trasformato nell'inizio di uno strano Art Journal ...
Hello everyone! Today I want to show you something that started as a 'try-out' of new goodies and ended, sort of, as the beginning of a very peculiar Art Journal...
Come potete vedere ho finalmente acquistato il folder 3D - Texture Fades 'Foundry' di Sizzix/Tim Holtz Alterations...l'ho usato per embossare un pezzo di cartoncino piuttosto pesante...che dire...spettacolare! Gesso nero e la cera Metallique Old Silver di Finnabair/Prima, per dare un'aspetto metallico ed invecchiato, qualche tocco di pasta cracklé e poi eccomi pronta a testare un'altra novità: le Baked Texture di Seth Apter/Emerald Creek...sono polveri da embossing studiate per il Mixed Media...me ne sono innamorata...sulla facciata ho usato 'Rocky Road'...vorrei che poteste toccarla...ha una consistenza granulosa...una meraviglia! Sugli ingranaggi (Bigz Gadget Gears #2 - Sizzix/Tim Holtz Alterations) ho usato 'Patina Oxide', poi 'Chunky Rust' ed infine qualche granello di 'Rocky Road'.
As you can see I finally bought the 3D Texture Fades 'Foundry' by Sizzix/Tim Holtz Alterations...I embossed a quite thick cardstock and...what can I say....it's awesome!
Heavy Black Gesso and Old Silver Metallique wax by Finnabair/Prima to achieve a metallic and worn look, few touches of Crackle paste and here I am, ready to try other new goodies: Seth Apter's Baked Textures by Emerald Creek...embossing powders created for Mixed Media...I'm already in love with them...on the front I have used 'Rocky Road'...wish you could touch it...looks like gravel...amazing! On the gears (Gadget Gears #2 Bigz - Sizzix/Tim Holtz Alterations) I have used 'Patina Oxide', 'Chunky Rust' and a bit of 'Rocky Road'.
E poi ho iniziato a pensare...perchè non partecipare alla Sfida del Lunedì di SIMON SAYS STAMP? Il tema è 'TRANSPORT IT' ...e a me questa base embossata ricorda tanto un Portale...un passaggio verso altri mondi...Lasciate che vi ci Trasporti...basta girare quelle ruote dentate e chissà cosa si può trovare dall'altra parte...
So I begin to think about it...why not submit the project to the new Monday Challenge over at SIMON SAYS STAMP Blog? The theme is 'TRANSPORT IT'...and the embossed base makes me think of a Portal...a gateway to other worlds...Let me Transport you there...all you have to do is turn those gears and who knows what you will find on the other side...
Spazio...ultima frontiera.. he he he...per creare la mia galassia ho usato i Distress Oxides: Broken China, Faded Jeans, Blueprint Sketch, Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet e Black Soot...poi ho aggiunto il Distress ink Black Soot...tante goccine di inchiostro bianco e le frasi perfette con gli stickers Small Talk - Tim Holtz Idea-ology. Ho anche aggiunto un Ring Fastener sempre della linea Idea-ology.
Quindi ho rilegato copertina e prima pagina con del cartoncino nero...e questo mini Art Journal è pronto per nuove avventure...
Space...the final frontier....he he he...to create the galaxy I have used Distress Oxide Inks: Broken China, Faded Jeans, Blueprint Sketch, Seedless Preserves, Wilted Violet and Black Soot..then added Distress ink Black Soot....lots of splattering with white ink and the perfect sentiments with Small Talk stickers by Tim Holtz - Idea-ology. Also added an Idea-ology Ring Fastener to the cover.
Then bound cover and first page using black cardstock...and this mini Art Journal is ready for new adventures...
